In this newsclip Sidneyeve Matrix shares how mobile devices ie smart phones are changing the way we view education. I found this clip thought provoking.Similar to how the customer – supplier relationship has changed with the advent of social media and mobile devices, so has the roles in education. If you think of the teacher as the supplier of education and the student the recipient(customer), these mini computer have helped redefine how one is supplied and/or received. Like the customer, we have a more “enlightened” student due to information being readily available. So does that mean education is becoming more of a collaboration in the classroom? Very interesting.
Sidneyeve Matrix highlights key points to consider from introducing cell phones in the class room (leveraging this skill) to encouraging students to tweet the key messages in the class room. This is also an example on how QR codes are used well
Let me know what you think.
Sidneyeve will be a guest on my internet radio show on July12th where we will touch on the mobile landscape during the discussion of technology and the generations. Here is the link.
Cheers!
